I absolutely loved this book. I thought the political angle was great. Maybe that's because I agreed with the author's politics. But the story moved well, and I liked the first person narration. It kept my interest (and that's not easy), and had a good plot. But I can see why people on the left might not be that thrilled with it.I only bought it because the Kindle edition was specially priced at 99 cents. I thought it was better than a lot of books where I've paid a lot more.
Book reviews are just the writer's opinions, so you have to take them all (including mine) with a grain of salt. But being a lover of the late Vince Flynn (the last book written by some else wasn't that great), and David Baldacci, I thought this was really great. I'm looking forward to a sequel.

After reading all the lame novels by authors blaming American military or businesses for all things imaginable, it was refreshing to read one the told the truth about Americas present woes. An improvement in the writing skills would be nice, but the message cannot be downplayed. The Benghazi murderess and her former boss are an albatross to this great nation. Good luck to the author on all his future endeavors.
This was a fast moving book and very detailed with great parallels to some of the things happening today and in the past, as well. Though I was a little confused on the hedge fund dealings at times (have to get more insight from my broker friend), the overall story was a lesson in money and politics. The action and characters were great and I really hope to see a sequel!
Couldn't put the book down. Got a little too much information explaining the complicated world of trading, which slowed the book down in places. Otherwise this is a seriously nonstop story with a great ending
The parallels to the present political scene is amazing. People, if you ever really want to acknowledge your beliefs about people in charge being egomaniacs, read this book. The book is written as a suspenseful thriller that speeds you into danger and will not let you go. Great book.
I gave 2016 five stars because it blew my mind. After starting it, I couldn't put it down. He takes a right turn, when you think you know where he is going, that's all I will say on that. I would HIGHLY recommend you read this book. I will also say, I hope James live
S long enough to write an other - no "accidental" deaths allowed.

What I really liked about it, outside of very good story telling and being an excellent read was his main character, Christian Roberts. He is presented simply as an everyman caught up in circumstances. Not some super hero, just an average guy going through a variety of situations that could have happened to anyone. Likeable , real and human. The secondary characters will be immediately recognizable, but the main character made the book. Good storytelling. I would recommend it to anyone. It will be interesting to see the authors next book. Keep up the good work
Amazing characters! Strangely though, several remind me of a few beings, at the height of US news coverage today. If I did not know this book is a work of fiction, one would think you were reading from today's headlines. Very entertaining read, especially for the conspiracy theorists or nut jobs, thus labeled so, brilliantly so, by our very own POTUS, while taking a few preprepared audience questions, during a special press conference in recent months. Would certainly not recommend this book to any of the brainwashed, kook aid drinking crowd. Those folks could never finished the book, as is proven, by reading a few of the book reviews, before purchasing the book. All in all entertaining read. Good work Mr Force.
